Don’t miss the fourth Mountain to Mountain Ultra Marathon on September 21, 2024! Partnering with Nyeri County and the Blazers, this challenging run takes you on an epic trail from Mt. Kenya to the Aberdare Ranges.
Kick-off points and times:
- 80km: Starts at 4:00 am from Mt. Kenya Naru moru Gate
- 50km: Starts at 6:00 am from Springs BBQ Restaurant, Chaka Town
- 25km: Starts at 8:00 am from Golden Gate Hotel, along the Mweiga-Nyahururu Road
Mountain to Mountain Ultra Marathon Route Map
Start: Naro Moru Gate, Mt. Kenya National Park (80 km)
Route:
- 11km murram road to Kamburaini
- Tarmac road through Kakuret and Karicheni on Chaka-Nanyuki Road
- Turn towards Chaka and continue to Springs Hotel (50 km split)
- Proceed to Dedan Kimathi University
- Follow the scenic route past Chania River towards Nyeri Town
- Pass Italian Memorial Church and Mathari Mission Hospital
- Follow dirt road for 4 km to Mau Mau Road at Kihuyo Market (50 km mark)
- Challenging 5km climb to Mweiga Road Junction, passing TreeTops Lodge
- Final 25 km along scenic Nyoka Nyoka Road (high elevation)
- Finish: Wandare Gate, Aberdare National Park (80 km)

Registration is now open for a fee of Ksh. 1,500, which includes a T-shirt, medal, and support. (There will be a cash bar at the finish point with snacks and drinks from different vendors.)
